Strategic marketer and brand strategist. Chartered Marketer and Chartered Member of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM), with more than two decades across journalism, management, brand and marketing.

I’ve worked in communication since 2001. I started in journalism, where I learned that trust is hard-won and easily lost. Every day meant making fast decisions, checking facts, understanding context and explaining reality as clearly as possible. That is where I learned that perception is never built by accident. Later, I moved into management and marketing. I led teams, transformation processes and rebranding projects, and eventually founded Koolt Communications in 2014. Working with entrepreneurs, companies and institutions across different industries taught me to look beyond communication itself — at the strategic choices that determine what a brand becomes and how it is perceived. Today, I build brands through strategic marketing. And building brands is what I genuinely love to do. I like taking an idea and developing it all the way from positioning and strategy to market launch, then watching it grow, evolve and establish a place in people’s minds. For me, building a brand means understanding much more than marketing. It means paying attention to culture and how it changes, how people behave and what they value, how media and social media evolve, how categories shift and why certain ideas become relevant while others disappear. I am interested in the relationship between all of these forces — and in turning that understanding into brands that are distinctive, memorable and culturally relevant, but also capable of earning trust and building meaningful relationships with the people they serve.
That curiosity has also shaped the way I work. I constantly explore new technologies and tools, including AI, when they allow me to research, test, create and build better. The tools change. The strategic discipline does not. Every project still begins with fundamental questions: What are we building? For whom? Why should they choose us? What sets us apart? What do we want to be known for? Only once those answers are clear do we move into marketing, communication and execution. My work combines more than two decades of experience in journalism, management and consultancy with internationally recognised marketing methodologies. I am a Chartered Marketer (CMktr), Chartered Member of The Chartered Institute of Marketing (MCIM), and SOSTAC® Certified Planner.
I founded Koolt Communications, a strategic consultancy specialising in brand, marketing and communication. I work alongside entrepreneurs, companies and institutions to define positioning, develop brand and marketing strategy, and translate business objectives into clear communication direction. My role is to support management teams in the strategic decisions that underpin growth and long-term reputation.
I defined and implemented the integrated marketing and communication strategy for Rotary District 2241 Romania & the Republic of Moldova, overseeing the organisation's public image and communication. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I adapted the communication direction to support the district's fundraising campaigns and humanitarian projects.
I led the transformation of a regional television station into a news organisation, managing two rebranding phases, leading editorial teams and overseeing the newsroom's day-to-day operations. The experience gave me a direct view of leadership, change management, and building credibility in an environment where trust is earned daily.
I produced and presented programmes, oversaw the entire editorial process, and was involved at every stage of news production — from research and field reporting to interviews, editing and anchoring bulletins. Later, at N24, I edited and presented the national prime-time news bulletins.
I began my career in television as an intern and progressed into roles as reporter, production assistant and presenter. This period laid the foundation for how I still approach communication today: rigorous research, understanding context, and a sense of responsibility for the information conveyed.
