Strategy Should Be Practiced
I have never advised something I have not built myself. Strategy should be practiced, not only advised.
The difference between a consultant and a practitioner is the scar. I have led newsrooms, rebuilt brands, founded companies. Every recommendation I offer today has passed through the filter of real experience.
This is the only kind of strategy I believe in: the kind that has been lived.
